Year of Passion

The third and final year of Jesus’ ministry is known as the “Year of Passion.” Jesus’ ministry in his home province of Galilee is finished. He speaks out in opposition of the hypocrisy of the religious elite in Israel. It is during this time that he shares many of his most well known teachings. Opposition to his work and the desire of his enemies to silence him is gaining momentum. He and his disciples avoid Jerusalem as they travel south, leading up to the events that happen on his final Passover weekend.

After Easter Sermons

We’re taking a break after Easter to explore some core aspects of Christian living.

Why the Church? | April 12th
Lots of people have respect, and even love for Jesus, but they wonder if there is anyplace in their lives for organized religion.

What gift do you have? | April 19th
Do you know that when you chose to follow Jesus you received at least one spiritual gift.  Discovering your gift(s) is the key to finding your purpose!

Generous | April 26th
Jesus said if you want to be great in his kingdom, you must be a great servant.  His sacrifice on the cross for us is the greatest act of generosity history.  Churches should be generous and followers of Jesus should embrace generosity as a lifestyle.

A Heart for the Nations | May 3rd
Our salvation is a free gift but Jesus wants us to be willing to share his good news with others.  the cause of people living in places without the gospel is a heart wrenching call to all churches.
